Seventeen-year-old Cyco of Stone Mountain, Ga is the first of a new wave of young hip- hop artists set to recreate the southern rap scene. With the complexity and lyrical depth of artists twice his age, Cyco stands alone in comparison to his peers. His sound is first and foremost southern, but he has the natural ability to narrate stories and dialogue with a hard-core edge. Christopher "Cyco" Pitts is one of three children born to Michelle Pitts and to date, an estranged father, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Cyco’s childhood was that of turbulence and pain. At the tender age of 9, he witnessed the brutal slaying of his brother by an older cousin which would forever alter his perspective on life. The death of his brother opened up an emotional gate that music has allowed him to express. An experience like this is what separates Cyco from the current set of young rappers. His life has created a dialogue from which he raps. By easily standing out in battle ciphers, local talent contests and teen clubs in neighboring city Decatur, Cyco has caused many listeners to take notice. When asked about where he draws his inspiration, he modestly replies, “I just watch the pioneers before me, stay true to myself, and speak the truth.” Cyco admits that he can’t specifically say how long he has been rapping, but quantifies it by saying as long as he can remember. Cyco’s infectious style and lyrical prowess has attracted an all star cast of support and power players. Some of Cyco’s most recent projects feature production credits by Sincere, Nick, Izreal and SL, four producers who have scored credits on various artists’ projects. Most recently Cyco recorded the intro spot for Hot 107.9’s ET and J-Nicks of the Dirty Boyz top rated show in the six to ten time spot in Atlanta radio. Cyco’s drive and unrelenting work ethic combined with his God given talent will undoubtedly place him in the forefront of the rap game.

¡Feliz día de acción de gracias!

Hoy es el día de Acción de Gracias, Thanksgiving … y bueno ya saben que aquí es una fiesta nacional celebrada por todos. Les deseo un feliz dia… hoy y todos los que le siguen. Pero quiero compartir mi celebración asi que un abrazo que abarque toda la amistad necesaria… que lime todas las asperezas y dejen ese buen sentir que se manifiesta en una sonrisa de amistad. Por que la típica cena, o digamos la susodicha cena es de un pavo asado, maíz y toda esa comida deliciosa que se considera típica de EE.UU. celebraré dando las gracias… Un abrazo a todos… Happy Thanksgiving!
